You Can’t Buy Vision

VISION. It’s not for sale anywhere. You have to develop yours on your own. How you may ask? I’m still trying to figure that out. I look to other friends and photographers for inspiration and ideas that may fit in to my big picture. It’s always evolving though and I’m constantly re-shaping and re-thinking and re-sketching mine!

Lately I’ve been big on finding ways to boost personal creativity. Looking for projects that are personal and meaningful to me as an artist. Projects that will not only aid in my growth as a photographer, but as an individual.

I recently came across an idea that I thought was interesting: take portraits of everyone that comes to visit at your house! The pictures don’t have to be fancy and the process doesn’t have to take long. Make it a fun activity with your visitor and try to capture and show something about their personality in your image. I may try this during the holidays and after the baby arrives (because I know that’s when people will start visiting me again). :)
