Cookie Decorating Party | on location photography in VA

I love when I can go back and photograph a family a second time … and in some cases a third, forth, and fifth time! It’s exciting for me to see how children grow and personalities mature just in a few short months.

I believe I’ve had the opportunity to photograph this family six times (could it be that many?!). It’s always a treat for me to see them and hug those girls. This year I suggested we try something different for the holiday shots … a cookie party! These photos are actually just a few from a larger - multi - extended family session we did on Saturday, but since I KNOW Mom reads my blog, I wanted to feature a couple of my favorites for her to enjoy. The girls loved icing and decorating their cookies with copious amounts of holiday sprinkles! The challenge? How to get the cookie in to the mouth without losing everything off the top!
